The haunting, surrealist visions of Rafal Olbinski are reproduced on this dazzling new set of note cards, produced exclusively for the Met. The five striking images represent the uniquely personal view of some of the World’s best-loved operas. Rigoletto, wearing a red devil’s hat, cries tears of blood. Tosca manipulates the strings of a tiny marionette representing her lover, Cavaradossi. Don Giovanni’s mask is the night sky, and his preys appear as three doll-like women. A dream-like Violetta dances on her own cheek with her lover, Alfredo. And Pinkerton appears as a toy soldier, climbing Butterfly’s fan.

Packaged in a sumptuous red box, the collection includes four each of the five images on 5” x 7” note cards, with envelopes.
